Antoine Gonin was born in Paris in 1951. He is passionate about photography,p especially advertising and industrial photography. He mostly shoots in colour for the largest French and European companies.
He published in 2000 the black and white book « Eloge de l’avenir », Delpire publications. The book portrays the most important French industrial achievements. To do so, he traveled all around France, creating at the beginning of the 3rd Millenium, a large contemporary piece of work.
This book will remain the witness of a rather creative and fertile era.
Following its release, about 30 exhibitions took place all around the world, in collaboration with the French ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2005, EADS ordered him a batch of photographs representing the core activities of this industrial group for the AICHI Universal Exhibition in Japan. Through a perfect master of composition and light, Antoine Gonin captured impressive photo shoots, emphasizing on, the most spectacular aspects of this company’s technology.
For the past 8 years, Antoine Gonin has been focusing on shooting landscapes. He published in 2008 his second book, « Horizons », Delpire publications. The work gathered in this book, also in black and white, is the result of patience, curiosity, and of his alert eye. This book urges the reader to have an orginal perspective on our architecture and nature’s heritage.
